A Filterred Lookup Column

 

Out of the box SharePoint lookup column doesn't support to filter the lookup values based on some conditions. Our "Vendor Invoices" list needs to column to lookup current "Open" purchase order. A custom field is developed to show only purchase order with status of "Open".

1. The looked up list "Purchase Orders". 

 

2. A custom field is developed to filterred out only "open" purchase orders.

 

3. The custom field is not only a text data but it is link to the list item in Purchase Order list.
